Rock Clip of the Week: The Tubes - Tubes World Tour
Waved Rumor
Oh, Yeah, the Tubes, all over the world....a mighty important crusade.
This is prime Tubes, an early 1980s band outta San Francisco that was supremely musical. The band floundered through several musical directions before hitting its commercialty a few years later with "She's a Beauty" and other chart hits.
Singer Fee Waybill is pretty gay throughout this clip, but the song rocks and I have the LP "Young & Rich" and play it often ("Don't Touch Me There" could be THE best Spectoresque tribute rip off evah!).
Hear some live Tubes at their MySpace page.
