The NY Times looks at developments surrounding the decades-old Pazz & Jop music poll, now that longtime Village Voice music columnist Robert Christgau is no longer spearheading the effort. Seems the Voice will persevere and carry on with the poll, but Idolator is kicking off its Jackin' Pop. (silly name, but so was Pazz & Jop). The Times writes...
"As for Mr. Christgau, who now contributes reviews to National Public Radio and to Rolling Stone and other publications, he said he was glad to be relieved of the yearly burden of Pazz & Jop, which took weeks of laborious work.
